Quick Response Code, more commonly known as QR Code, is a two-dimensional matrix barcode that has become an integral part of the retail landscape.
Initially developed in 1994 by Denso Wave, a subsidiary of Toyota, QR Codes were designed to efficiently track automotive parts during manufacturing. However, their utility soon transcended the automotive industry and found a new purpose in the retail sector.
